The new IQ-AM website has launched in the nick of time. With a very tight deadline to meet the site was started and finished within 48 hours. Not something I can do with every project. A great challenge to conquer!

Powered by WordPress, the IQ-AM site is simple and clean. A handful of images, links to PDF documents and informative text make up the content of the site.

The IQ-AM site was thrown together in record time, with final content supplied on Wednesday afternoon the site was live by Friday afternoon!

On the surface, a website redesign is usually straight forward. You copy the page content, reformat the appearance and you’re done. The DataBasics website was a little different, as it had around 100 pages! After numerous cups of coffee, a few family sized blocks of Cadbury Dairy Milk and many late nights in front of the computer it was complete.

The site is almost all XHTML & CSS3, with a tiny bit of PHP used for the contact form and some jQuery for the rotating banner on the home page and Twitter feed. As DataBasics have in-house HTML skills and didn’t require a CMS, using HTML allowed the site to remain very fast, which is beneficial for the user experience and SEO.

I’m so happy this project came my way. I learned a lot, not only about web design but about the skills required to handle a project of this size.

The poster brings together the many and varied projects Liz has worked on. Each image is bordered by a distressed frame and lists Liz’s many talents.

The cards are scored & folded to create a z-fold card, topped of with a matt cello sheen. When folded, the two half faces make one. Cool, hey?!

Liz had a very strong idea of what she wanted from the get go. I was able to take the concept to a print-ready reality.

I’ll be arming myself with a stack of DL flyers (beautifully printed at a very cheap price by CMYK Online), strapping on my walking shoes and hitting the local streets to spruke my services. If you live near the 3137 postcode look out – I could be dropping in soon!

Phase Two will feature national TV & radio ads, road side billboards and a lucrative sponsorship deal with a yet to be named Kardashian…  probably the one that isn’t Kim or Khloe, as she’s the cheapest.
